The Natural Navigation Walk
On this 5-mile guided walk, we’ll step back through time and rediscover how humans have always found their way, using the natural world as their guide. Along the way, you’ll learn how to:
- Use the sun, stars, and moon as direction markers.
- Read the horizon, hills, and landmarks for orientation.
- Spot subtle signs in trees, plants, and rivers that tell a story of place.
- Understand how these timeless skills link to the navigation apps in your pocket.

Discover the thrill of archery in a relaxed, supportive setting. Our instructors will guide you through the basics, from holding a bow to hitting the target. Perfect for complete beginners — no pressure, just fun.
Beginners Paddleboarding

No experience needed. If you can already paddle then come and join us and we will provide you some coarching on paddling more effeciently.
Navigate with Confidence
Build your map-reading skills on a gentle guided walk. Working in pairs, you’ll learn how to use a map to spot landmarks and find your way without relying on your phone. A fun, social way to grow your confidence outdoors — no experience needed. We do two levels Starter (no Compass) and Intermediate (with Compass).
These walks are all about building confidence in map reading without relying on your phone. I’ve been teaching navigation since I was 8 years old, when my father introduced me to orienteering, and I love helping others discover the joy of exploring. This gentle, flat route offers some of the best views anywhere in Bath.
Starter sessions: Meet and return to Lansdown Park and Ride. The walk is on is around 5km long with 31m of asscent with several stops to discuss navigation.
Twilight Nature Paddleboarding
Experience the river as day turns to night on this peaceful evening paddle using paddleboards. We’ll drift along in search of wildlife such as kingfishers, friendly swans, bats, and (if we’re lucky) beavers, while soaking up the calm of twilight on the water. A magical way to end the day.
No paddleboarding experience is needed as the whole trip can be done kneeling.

I had a great time at my first ever go at archery. Roger was very informative and helpful and the session was fun. I felt at ease even though I went alone and I would definitely sign up for more sessions and try different things. I highly recommend.

Enjoyable morning learning the skills necessary for archery. Really great spot to learn and I’m sure all of us enjoyed the friendly competition

I joined the Beginner’s Paddle Boarding Session, even though I had previously had some experience. Roger was an amazing teacher, pitching the session to each of our needs, and being so patient. He was quick to pick up our mistakes and correct them. I learnt a lot and absolutely loved it. There was a lovely atmosphere with us all and we also had the benefit of Roger explaining about the wildlife of the river. Well worth the money. I look forward to going again and can’t recommend it highly enough
Sandra Parker –

What a special evening on the Twilight Paddle. Roger was very friendly , knowledgeable and helpful for a complete beginner! Kingfishers, beavers, bats and a unique perspective of a Heron circling to land from underneath, highly recommend.

Twilight nature trail on paddle boards was an amazing experience.
Would highly recommend this and also pAN 50 to anyone. This was my first event with PAN 50 and I felt very welcome and included which means a lot to someone going alone to new experiences

A fantastic experience doing the Twilight Nature Paddle. I’ve previously done several paddle boarding experiences with Roger and have always found him to be a calm and knowledgeable guide and instructor. This dusk excursion was extra special, however, as I finally got to see a beaver in the wild! A magical moment! Drifting gently back down the river in the twilight as you spot the local wildlife is a serene experience that I would highly recommend.
