Unfortunately, we don’t offer paddleboard hire as we don’t have a permanent location, but we work with a number of recommended people and companies that do.
Always demand that your hire includes a buoyancy aid – and wear it!
They each offer something different so the best one will depend on what you are looking for.
The Best Option for Paddleboard Hire in Bath – Bath Outdoors
If you have been on one of our lessons and you want to practice what you have learnt and maybe go up the river further, we recommend you hire your boards from Bath Outdoors. They offer best best value hire for longer durations (£35 for a whole day) and have the best boards (Sandbanks Style 10’6 Ultimate RS). You can hire them from their wonderful shop under the arches in Widcombe. Be warned, their shop is a magical place, and you may leave with a light wallet but some amazing gear.

Paddleboard Hire Batheaston Option 1 – Bath Boats and Cycles
Andy Hemmings runs the sister boatyard to the one we launched from, and he offers paddleboard hire, has a large number of beginner boards that are ideal for messing about on and can cater for larger parties. He also hires canoes and electric boats so if you have a large group or not everyone wants to be on a paddleboard he is your best option. Boards cost £10 an hour.

Paddleboard Hire Batheaston Option 2 – Alison James
Alison James runs a pay-and-play system that allows you to hire paddleboards by the hour from a location next to Batheaston Weir in the beer garden of the Old Mill. She has 8 beginner paddleboards that she hires. £15 for an hour or £20 for two hours.
