We had a fantastic evening paddleboarding. Roger was a great host and Alek's knowledge of the rivers eco system is truly fascinating. We saw lots of wildlife, including beavers swimming and even saw a mother beaver feeding her kit. I would highly recommend booking a visit with Launch Point Adventures. Just wonderful!

The River Safari, with Roger and Aleks, was amazing and incredibly informative. We were lucky enough to see beavers both in and out of the water along with a myriad of other wildlife. If you have not been on a SUP before never fear as Roger is a fantastic instructor and will make you feel confident in no time. If you are thinking about booking something with Launch Point Adventures, 100% do it.

Wow - what an incredible wildlife experience on the paddle board Beaver safari. It was so magical paddling at sunset and watching the wonderful beavers along the river and learning so much about them from our expert guide Alex. We were also blessed with kingfishers, herons and bats - what a special night. Thanks Roger for looking after us so well. This is a really unique opportunity to be with nature and stillness - highly recommended. We loved every minute - thank you. 🙏

Beaver Safari: an amazing evening! We were well looked after, even those of us with little paddle boarding experience and our guide was very knowledgeable about beavers' habits and activity and how to recognise their presence. And we saw a lot of beavers, and an otter! I highly recommend.

A fantastic morning of paddle boarding for our daughter’s birthday. Roger has a wonderfully laidback approach and took us through the basics, got us all up and having a great time. Highly recommend this.

I feel very fortunate to have had this magical experience watching beavers, bats, herons, grey wagtails and more in their natural habitat and so close to home, with hosts who are so generous with their knowledge and expertise. This is a truly uplifting thing to do to when it’s easy to feel down about the effects of river pollution.

Roger was brilliant - we had an excellent Natural Navigation walk as a group of 10 - and we learnt so much in our 3 hour session. We learnt how to identify north, how to pace distance using our magic number, all about trees and how they can lie to us, loads about trig points…and so much more…and all without a map, compass or mobile phone!

I joined the Beginner’s Paddle Boarding Session, even though I had previously had some experience. Roger was an amazing teacher, pitching the session to each of our needs, and being so patient. He was quick to pick up our mistakes and correct them. I learnt a lot and absolutely loved it. There was a lovely atmosphere with us all and we also had the benefit of Roger explaining about the wildlife of the river. Well worth the money. I look forward to going again and can’t recommend it highly enough

Absolutely wonderful evening on the River Safari. Beavers and kingfishers and magic. Looked after so well by Roger and Aleks. And I learnt to paddleboard at the same time! Highly recommend this excursion and Launch Point Adventures themselves.

Of course, I had to go on this safari (Frome Beaver Watch, come on! 😉)—and it did not disappoint! Even if we hadn’t seen any beavers (we did—four of them, three kits and an adult/juvenile), it still would have been an unforgettable experience. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking: the river is so still and reflective it feels like paddling through a Monet painting. Aleks and Roger are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also so much fun to be around. They kept the pace comfortable for everyone (including me, the slowest paddler thanks to chronic pain 😅) and made sure safety was always a top priority while never compromising on enjoyment. Beyond the wildlife and stunning landscape, what really stood out was the atmosphere they created—relaxed, welcoming, and full of laughter. I even came away with some wonderful new friends. The river safari was an incredible experience. Roger made everyone very comfortable on the paddleboards and Aleks was so knowledgeable, it was a very peaceful and fascinating trip - would love to do it again some time!

I booked archery and axe throwing for my sisters hen do activity. Roger and Suzzy were so accommodating and helpful and they made the day so so fun! Everyone came away saying how fun it had been. Thank you both for a fantastic day!!

This family birthday, surprise event was the highlight of the birthday weekend. Roger, the instructor kept us safe, gave us plenty of skills to try. He managed the group to even out the naturally gifted (given harder challenges) and those who needed more practise. Beautiful setting and perfect length of session. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Absolutely amazing afternoon. Fun day for birthday celebration. Roger is a fantastic teacher he took us all through from completely missing the target to the occasional bullseye. Played a variety of games even a game of darts with the bows for a big darting family. Would definitely book again for any occasion. Thank you so much for a fun filled birthday afternoon.

What a magical evening! Roger and Alex are brilliant leaders, Inspiring confidence and sharing their knowledge and experience of local wildlife. I had never been on a paddleboard before. Roger made it very easy and there were no mishaps! I felt very privileged to drift down the river spotting herons, beavers, kingfisher etc in companionable quietness. A joy. Thank you.

We had an absolutely amazing paddleboarding experience with Roger! Just 2 days before my daughter's 18th birthday, another company let us down — we were honestly devastated. But Roger came to the rescue at the very last minute, fitting us in and adapting everything to suit our plans. His teaching style was outstanding — calm, clear, patient and fun. He instantly made everyone feel comfortable, and we felt completely safe and well looked after the entire time. His knowledge was exceptional, and the way he shared information about the local wildlife along the river was both fascinating and engaging — it added so much to the whole experience. Roger genuinely went above and beyond and truly made the day unforgettable. We're so grateful and couldn't recommend him and the company more highly — professional, reliable, and such a kind, genuine person throughout.

Roger was a great host and the group of us throughly enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely go back and book more activities in the future with Launch Point.

My 13 year old daughter and I had a great time doing archery. It was well organised but relaxed and Roger was a good teacher. Stunning location above Bath. Highly recommend.

What an amazing evening!! Aleks was extremely knowledgeable about the whole river ecosystem, not just the beaver population. The paddling was a breeze, easy for complete novices. Having paddled upstream it was blissfully chill to just float back down the river in silence looking for beaver activity as the sun set. And yes, we did spot a couple and heard the movements of several more.

We had a great afternoon session paddleboarding, good clear explanation of the basics and good equipment. Was able to stand up and enjoy the tranquil river scenery. An excellent experience, would love to do it again! Thank you!

Roger immediately put us at ease with his warm and friendly, knowledgable manner. We all learnt loads of new information and new techniques on the Paddleboard. The kids aged 8-13 said that at no point was it boring- they loved the games and competitions, the information about the wildlife. My 8 year old never knew that beavers were nocturnal! Just a throughly brilliant morning was had by all aged 8-45…

Had a great time paddle boarding, was my first time out on the water and Roger made me feel safe and helped me to boost my confidence over the course of the session. Fantastic activity for all the family !

We had a wonderful two hour paddleboarding session with a family group including adults and teenagers. Roger made sure that nobody was left behind and that the games and activities on the water were fun for everyone. The initial briefing was reassuring without being too serious. The equipment was all good quality and well maintained. Roger was a fun and able leader. Would definitely recommend this.

Brilliant fun doing axe throwing with the BNI Marlborough gang on Tuesday! Thoroughly enjoyed it, it was so much fun. I can't recommend Roger enough, he was fab and made the evening so interactive and fab. Thank you Roger!

What a fantastic evening at Launch Point Adventures learning the skill of not only axe throwing, but also throwing little angels (you'll understand when you go!) and knives under the excellent instruction and supervision of Roger. The time went so quickly and we all had a blast! A great thing to do with friends and we'd definitely go again. Thanks for your hospitality and fun!

We did the outdoor escape room on a lovely summer evening and it was lots of fun. We went with kids aged between 9 - 13 and they all enjoyed it. Puzzles were the right amount of challenging and the boxes not too tricky to find. Thank you!

We had a brilliant River Safari with Al and Alex. Al immediately made us feel confident on the SUP's before we headed off up stream with Alex pointing out evidence of beaver activity. Drifting back felt like being in a different world hadnt expected the bonus of hearing beavers chomping on branches and splashing into the water. Highly recommended.

Really fantastic paddle boarding session , feel fitter, stronger and more relaxed. Roger and Al were great instructors and made the whole thing a lot of fun. Would totally recommend for families, friends, work colleagues, young and old a like a real bonding experience.

Yesterday evening, Alex and Roger lead a small group of us on a Beaver safari up the river Avon. The weather was perfect and we all had a fabulous time. And, we saw a couple of Beavers, and a majestic Barn Owl as well as lots of other wildlife. Our hosts were very knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to recommend. Thankyou for a wonderful trip.

We booked paddle boarding with Roger for our son’s 14th birthday. It was a fantastic experience for the kids and I would thoroughly recommend Launchpoint Adventures. So lovely to see them all having a great time together, having fun and being out in nature and doing something different as a group. We went on a night-time wildlife SUP safari in June 2024. We had the most magical, idyllic, sublime time. We were able to see a great deal of wildlife - including beavers - as well as truly relax and enjoy the night air on the river. Roger is an incredibly supportive, knowledgeable and friendly guide who makes you feel completely at ease. Thank you so much!

I booked a combination of archery and axe throwing for my company away day of 21 people and they all loved it! Roger and Al were great at planning the morning to suit our team, teaching everyone how to throw / shoot and getting everyone involved. It was a really enjoyable day and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to book an outdoors activity with amazing scenery just outside of Bath.

We visited Launch Point Adventures for my Hen Do this weekend and we had the best time! The delivery of the session was fantastic, the games were fun and exciting and the equipment was good. The view at the location is absolutely stunning, I've done many of these archery experiences but this one was definitely the best yet!

We had an amazing afternoon of Archery for my friends hen do. The location was absolutely beautiful, the archery games were really fun and our instructor was brilliant. I would highly recommend launch point adventures for your afternoon of Archery fun.

What a brilliant afternoon! I was given the Family Paddle as a birthday present, and it was my favourite! Fantastic to be all together, have some fun, learn a new skill together, weather was ideal (I'm sure it would be have been just as much fun in the rain) and Roger and all the team were amazing, from set up and safety briefing, to building our confidence, enjoying the experience, exploring nature, playing silly games, relaxing and nota phone in sight! Highly Recommended (ps we all had our own paddleboard, but the 3-on-a-board game was really fun!)

The outdoor escape activity was great family fun, perfect level of difficulty for our family with 12 and 14 yr olds. The surprise treats were a bonus 😁

Great family session. Roger got us all standing up wtihin minutes and tailored the session to individual skills, with fun challenges along the way. A great couple of hours family time!

Signing up for a paddleboarding session with Launch Point Adventures seemed a good idea to have a go at this water sport and I wasn’t disappointed. Starting out on my knees, I never expected to progress to standing up in this first lesson, but with Al’s excellent coaching and encouragement I achieved it! I was very proud of myself and once my legs stopped shaking I really enjoyed the experience. Al introduced some different techniques, and I soon had the confidence to try these out too. I even managed a ‘bunny’ hop at the end without falling off! It was a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours on a summer’s evening on the river Avon and I will certainly do it again. Thanks Al and Roger—it was great fun! Till the next time…..
